Register with Amazon.
Revisit Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3). to recap on their pricing.
You require an Amazon Account and to register with Amazon for the S3
(S3 = Simple Storage Service). If you buy books from Amazon then you
already have an Amazon account and only need to register your interest
in S3. If you have neither then during the registration process for
Amazon S3 an Amazon Account will be created.
So start by visiting Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) and
click "Sign Up For This Web Service"and follow the instructions.

This process should provide you with an Amazon Account, a password,
which along with the email address you registered with, gives you access
to account information and much more. The S3 registration will provide
you with 2 secret numbers. One is termed a "S3 Access Key Identity", a
username, and a "S3 Secret Access Key ", a password, Yes, keep this
secret.

Information: The
initials NSE occur often, at a technically level the new section of
Sissle is a "NameSpace Extension" a "Windows Explorer Extension" would
make its use more obvious
Ensure you have your Amazon S3 codes before trying.
Install
This is the normal starting point for program installation.
Download the latest version of Sissle NSE from the download page and install. Advice: let install create icons.
Vista's or Windows 7 UAC will activate a pop up, select "allow".
On the first activation, an Options dialog requesting
the S3 codes will appear. Enter the codes provided by Amazon here.
Click on "Test The Codes With A Connection To Amazon" and you should
receive confirmation that everything is OK, if not check codes and
repeat.
Windows 7.
By default, Windows 7 does not show the root node of a namespace
extension (the new section of Sissle is a NSE) in the tree view (left side) of Windows Explorer.
Perform the following procedure:
1. In Windows Explorer, press Alt key to display the menu bar. Then select Tools menu --> Folder Options...
2. Check 'Show All Folders' in the General tab.
3. Click OK.
Sissle contains a 14 day trial license for you to try the program
and check that all steps above have been successfully completed.
Please try and if interested follow the Order process. Updating an Earlier SissleNSE
Updating an earlier Sissle (as against the new
SissleNSE) is no problem just ensure that Sissle is not active. The
only earlier version is Sissle NSE v 1.4.0.121 Oct 16 2009, this was a beta version, then:
Simple Method
1. Uninstall SissleNSE, goto Control/Add remove software and uninstall
SissleNSE.
2. Install downloaded Sissle. Activate program downloaded and follow instructions. Not so simple trying to avoid operating system restart.
Information: Vista 64 bit
Sissle installs both 32 bit and 64 bit versions of Sissles NSE as this operating system has both versions of windows explorer.
This applies only to the NSE section of Sissle, Sissle is itself a 32
bit application which has no trouble running on a 64 bit machine.
Important
The Sissle labelled Stand Alone is the copy to use when you do not require windows explorer and operates as it says on its own.
If you wish to use windows explorer for Amazon S3 operations, then
activate either "Sissle Explore" or "Sissle Explore Minimized" and then
windows explorer.
Data Base changes, licensing and options set on any Sissle apply to all Sissles
Installation method with a good chance of not needing an operating system restart.
These instructions are designed to uninstall Sissle and
reinstall Sissle without having to restart the operating system. The
main problem is that Sissle is now an extension to explorer and you
need explorer to activate the install but if the install sees explorer
it will perform the install with an operating system restart.
Ensure as few copies copies of Windows Explorer are running. You will
need a window explorer to perform each step so there is a bit of Catch
22 about these instructions.
1. Take a copy of Sissle.lic to relicense the new version and Sissle.db
to retain your database if you make heavy use of it. Now stop all
explorer windows.
2. Uninstall SissleNSE, goto Control/Add remove software and uninstall
SissleNSE. Terminate the "control program" and "uninstall program"
window as this are explorer windows.
3. Start the install of the new Sissle (with explorer) and once a
window appears, terminate all explorer windows. Proceed with the
install. I have about 95% success this way.
3. Remember to copy the license and database to the new NSE folder
