Sissle and Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) work in conjunction. The Amazon S3 service provides a farm of interconnected servers with location in the United States and Europe. If a file is sent to Amazon S3 it is stored on multiple servers and multiple sites to ensure complete reliability. Amazon S3 charges for storing files $0.15 - $0.18 (US - EU) per GB per month plus transfer charges of $0.10 data in and $0.17 data out. Full details at http://aws.amazon.com/s3/ . Amazon S3 does not provide client software to communicate between user and Amazon S3. Your Payments will be = "One of for Sissle" + "Monthly Payments to Amazon S3 " Examples All prices are in US Dollars Storage in US
Total $ 0.6197 Storage in Europe
Total $26.228 Notes: If you live in Europe you can store your information in the US and vice versa. Case 1: The total $ 0.6197 is for the first month and I would be surprised if you require to store another 2000 documents in the second month, say 20, but maybe you are a keen photographer and produce another 200 the following month. Crunch the numbers. Case 2: The total $26.2 is again for the first month but in this case you provide the movies of your family for your family and you may wish to replace or add more movies. This could get expensive but compare it to buying 100 DVD's, burning them and posting them. Maybe your films are not so interesting as you think and you don't get 100 downloads. There is nothing stopping you charging for the downloads, and so it goes on. My own personal mix is nearer case 1 and has built up to maybe 500 photographs and 40,000 documents. Initially my monthly bills were $0.05 rising to my current $0.46 last month. There is no minimum monthly fee and my $0.05 was converted into a correct Euro amount (I am in Germany) again with no additions Again for full details visit http://aws.amazon.com/s3/ . For instance I have ignored From Amazon site Requests
End from Amazon site On my 40,000 documents this means 40 * $0.01 = $0.4 to load them in 1 month above what I have quoted above |
